How to file a complaint

  1. Note your consumer number and the issue (with bill month if it's a billing complaint).
  2. Call the helpline 1199 or your company's UAN.
  3. Record the complaint number you are given.
  4. Follow up with the complaint number if it isn't resolved.

Common gas complaints

  • Overbilling or wrong meter reading.
  • Low gas pressure, especially in winter.
  • Gas leakage or smell (treat as an emergency — call 1199 immediately).
  • Meter not working or not read.
  • Wrong tariff category (protected vs non-protected).
