How to file a complaint
- Note your consumer number and the issue (with bill month if it's a billing complaint).
- Call the helpline 1199 or your company's UAN.
- Record the complaint number you are given.
- Follow up with the complaint number if it isn't resolved.
Common gas complaints
- Overbilling or wrong meter reading.
- Low gas pressure, especially in winter.
- Gas leakage or smell (treat as an emergency — call 1199 immediately).
- Meter not working or not read.
- Wrong tariff category (protected vs non-protected).
