Sui Gas Bill Calculator

Estimate your monthly Sui Gas bill by entering your consumption in cubic metres (m³) and your consumer category. The calculator applies slab-based gas charges, a fixed monthly charge and 18% GST. Protected consumers (winter average ≤ 0.9 hm³) pay lower rates than non-protected consumers.

Quick Answer: Enter your monthly gas consumption in cubic metres (m³), choose protected or non-protected, and the calculator applies the current OGRA-approved slab rates plus 18% GST to give you an instant estimate — usually within 5% of your actual bill.

How the Sui Gas Bill Calculator Works

The calculator uses OGRA's official tariff determination for FY 2025-26. Enter your monthly gas consumption in cubic metres (m³) — found on your printed bill or calculated by subtracting last month's meter reading from this month's. Select Protected or Non-Protected consumer category. The tool applies the progressive slab rates to each consumption band in sequence, adds the fixed monthly charge, then calculates 18% GST on the combined total.

Understanding Tariff Slabs — Protected Consumers

Protected domestic consumers pay three progressive slabs on their monthly gas consumption. The first slab (0–25 m³) attracts the lowest rate, the second (25–50 m³) a moderate rate, and the third (50–90 m³) the highest rate within the protected category. The fixed monthly charge for all protected consumers is Rs 600 regardless of which slabs are reached. A protected consumer can use up to 90 m³ per month without crossing into non-protected territory. The consumer category is determined by SNGPL or SSGC based on your four-month winter average (November–February) from the prior season.

SlabRangeFixed ChargeGST
Slab 10 – 25 m³Rs 600/month18%
Slab 225 – 50 m³Rs 600/month18%
Slab 350 – 90 m³Rs 600/month18%

Understanding Tariff Slabs — Non-Protected Consumers

Non-protected domestic consumers pay higher rates from the very first cubic metre of gas consumed each month. The fixed charge is Rs 1,500 for consumption at or below 150 m³, and jumps to Rs 3,000 for consumption above 150 m³. This threshold at 150 m³ is a critical financial boundary: crossing it doubles the fixed charge and pushes marginal consumption into the highest rate tier. If your consumption is near 148–152 m³, the calculator lets you quickly see how much each cubic metre above 150 costs.

Gas Bill Calculator — FAQs

How is a Sui Gas bill calculated?
Gas charges are slab-based: your monthly consumption (in cubic metres, converted to MMBTU on the official bill) is charged across rising slab rates set by OGRA, plus a fixed monthly charge and 18% GST. Protected consumers pay lower rates than non-protected consumers.
Is this gas bill calculator accurate?
It gives a close estimate using indicative current slab rates. Your official bill may differ because of your meter's gas calorific value (GCV), arrears, adjustments and OGRA tariff revisions. Always confirm the amount on your official bill.
What is a protected gas consumer?
A protected consumer is a domestic user whose average gas use over the four winter months (November–February) is 0.9 hm³ (90 m³) per month or less. Protected consumers get lower subsidised slab rates and a lower fixed charge for the whole year.
What is the fixed charge on a gas bill?
Protected consumers pay about Rs 600/month. Non-protected consumers pay around Rs 1,500/month up to 1.5 hm³ usage, or Rs 3,000/month above that, in addition to slab-based gas charges and GST.
